I just wanted to update you about my situation. I went to see my consultant this week, and he is very happy with everything physically. I asked lots of questions, and got answers to satisfy my need to know. He said all my bloods are within normal range, my liver is as healthy as it can be after the trauma of 4 years ago, and I'll be reviewed by the hepatic team in 6 months. All the varices are under control and I'll be reviewed by the gastro team in August next year. He said unfortunately the consequences are something I need to learn to live with. So, I'm going to seek mental health support to try to learn to get the anxiety about my health under control, and that will hopefully help the stress and depression. Maybe then I can start to live my best life again. I will keep you posted how I get on, and thank you.
