I am facing a post MDT consultant meeting tomorrow in general surgery after ultrasound found 2 liver lesions but that snd CT scan didn’t give clear info so had an MRI, which they will have had. Consultant seeing is a heptologist. Am very scared of outcome - am assuming cancer as have some symptoms. Wondering if because general surgery outpatients if that means an operation is pending. Has anyone experienced similar? Can anyone give any advice? Thanks

liver lesions outcome post MDT meeting scared
Hi Viking, it is scary when they talk about MDTs following tests. It’s normal to worry. It doesn’t necessarily mean bad news though. I had something similar with a fibroid and ovarian cyst which turned out to be fine. No op needed. However, I would suggest that you take someone with you and ask them to take notes because you just won’t take it all in. Also, good news or bad you’ll probably not be in a fit state to drive home. I know I wouldn’t have been. They will probably give you contact details for a specialist nurse who can answer any questions afterwards. You’ll probably have a few once you’ve had time to digest any information. Take a list of questions / worries with you tomorrow so that you get the answers / reassurance you need. Good Luck
after my scan revealed a 4cm tumour i had a biopsy which confirmed it was cancerous.then i opted for radiation ablation at the q.e. brum .so they will see if they are cancerous first .after 5 sabre treatments of about 20 mins that cured me but i hope you dont have it .very best wishes dont worry.
