The CAP score reflects the amount of fatty buildup in the liver. A score of 323 indicates the more severe end of the spectrum being S (Steatosis) grade 3. More than 67% of the liver is showing fatty change.

This fatty build up can be as a result of alcohol or indeed through Non Alcohol related Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD). I note your profile indicates diabetes type 2 which can be a contributory factor in fatty liver disease.

The BLT has some good guidance on NAFLD at:- britishlivertrust.org.uk/in...

Also guidance on how to treat the condition through healthy eating and exercise at:- britishlivertrust.org.uk/do...

They also released details of a study which showed the benefits of eating a Mediterranean style diet in NAFLD which may be interesting. britishlivertrust.org.uk/ea...

It's good that you are showing little in the way of fibrosis. Hopefully, by tackling and reversing the fatty build uo you can stop any further progression of liver disease.

Best wishes,

Katie
