Diagnosed in about 1995, had transplant 7 months ago. The transplant was due to cancer, considering I had cirrhosis my liver was still working reasonably well. I hope you continue to do well.

Hi Texas, Indianapolis here. 43 diagnosed 3 years ago with decompensated cirrhosis (alcohol). Now compensated, and doing fairly well on my own. Hope you get some more responses.

20 years I’ve had cirrhosis ,this year new liver in March. As most people ups and downs but on the whole pretty good ride, had stent fitted in Biliary duct got infection had three day stay fluid and antibiotics IV but all good. I didn’t have trouble travelling until I had varices and was put on transplant list, so traveled to Boston to see grandson up until then haven’t been able to travel for 4 1/2 years. Looking forward to getting to Boston next summer 🥳🥳🥳. Good luck with insurance.

Stay safe All

Hi there from Ireland. Diagnosed in 2016 with decompensated cirrhosis. Stopped drinking 2016. Became compensated in 2018. I have constant pain in liver side. Had gall bladder out 2021. No pain relief from it. Chronic pain now and on a load of meds for pain. Pregabalin, oxycontin, oxynorm, paracetamol. Just seem stuck in same rut. Cos my bloods are all normal... nothing being proposed and of course, I'm imagining the pain according to liver team....

Imagining the pain??!!?? I can’t believe they would say that to you. Pain is what got me diagnosed. My bloodwork is all normal too but I have pain. Hope you can get some relief soon.

Hi flippinout

When you say pain got you diagnosed, what did theydiagnose?

Yes, the pain for me and also tiredness are what's making life hard to deal with, ie pain and pure exhaustion. I'm on the strongest of pain killers but I hate the thoughts of what damage my liver is enduring. I had my bloods done four weeks ago and all were normal except the Alt but nothing was said about it. I haven't a clue what results mean but nothing was raised. I hv an apt tomorrow with the pain department so I'll have to see what they recommend.

Thanks Flippinout.

LH.

CT scan showed nodular liver, likely cirrhosis. FibroTest says F3 fibrosis. Need MRE or biopsy to confirm.
