Green poo - any connection with Liver disease

Hi All.

Will keep it brief. Ended up in hospital last year due to my alcohol consumption (heavy for years, daily for the last 3). Borderline cirrhosis.

Lost my job

Stayed sober well into this year but stress of not getting a new job and debt recently drove me to relapse. It was a heavy one - horrendous - things got bad way quicker than last time.

Anyway been sober without medical assistance for 10 days not but 4 days ago I started having dark green poo. Not all green but the main colour. I have looked to see if any connection with more advanced liver disease but can’t find anything.

Anyone have any alternative knowledge. I am scared now that I really did screw myself over.

Dear BobbyT74,

This is a question that your own health care professional is best placed to answer, as only they have access to your medical records.

We suggest talking this through with your own doctor or health care professional in the first instance.

Best wishes
