We saw a different consultant today who didn't really tell us much about the liver if I'm honest. He mainly asked about what led to recent hospitalisation, we explained again about the episodes of confusion and he said these didn't present like HE and has referred us to neurologist he said the MRI scan showed small bleeds in the brain and areas if brain shrinkage!Asked about liver he said possible improvement on child B9 if keep up with not drinking and trying to get healthier that was all. Took bloods again.
Need another endoscopy in 5 weeks to check on ulcers found in his stomach.
Possibly some fluid in stomach but not much.
Ultrasound every 6 months.
Is this good news, he seems to be slipping back into the state he was before antibiotics these last 2 days thought it was 1998 this morning? Told consultant but he didn't seem worried about it I'm bloody terrified!!!

Hi toyouto it’s very worrying when they don’t answer all your questions, the way the wife and I have found the best way is to have a list and just go through until they answer all that you want to know. If you’re not happy with the consultant ask to see someone else, it is your right, but we wish you the very best.
