Does anyone have Neutropenia ? I have received my blood results from the hospital and my white blood cell count is low at 2.53. Apparently my neutrophils are 1.36. I have googled as cannot get a GP appointment until tomorrow and apparently any score under 2 leads to a neutropenia diagnosis. Not sure if it’s any thing to worry about. I am also anaemic. Thank you in advance for reading

Neutropenia
Hi, I've been neutropinic a few times since my transplant, first only found as I had a stomach infection, caused by drugs I was taking, my wbc was 0, this has happened a few times, generally told to stay at home and avoid getting ill as I wouldn't be able to fight it. Transplant team are used to it but my GP freaked out. Mine is cured by dropping medication for a while but there is medication you can be given to raise your wbc. Be careful.Hilary xx
Thanks for your reply. Hope you are ok. I’ve spoken to the liver nurse today and apparently it’s all part and parcel of liver disease. She says my WBC has been like this since 2017. My platelets are only 53 and with a spleen nearly double the size and anaemic, She is arranging for an endoscopy because I’ve managed to make excuses for years, but now realise it’s time to get a grip and endure the procedure!!! So I ll just keep plodding along doing the best I can.
