Hi all I went to the hospital for the camera down my throat and they have seen something when I was going home my partner got leflets about a new trial for cirrosis of the liver.i was wondering if anyone has been asked to go on it .

Sorry that I am just getting back to you I have the leflets I got sent home with me last week as I had to go for the camera down my throat and they came my partner them .

no haven’t heard anything about it. Would be interesting to know what it is they are trailing. Hope the are able to reverse the scarring somehow 🙏

Hi, its not called 'calibre' is it??. I have read something about a new trial at Birmingham University regarding the best course of treatment for liver cirrhosis.

I think its how best to treat varices....

Not sure if I'm right ,im Probably wrong knowing me🙄.

It is called Beta-blockers or Placebo for primary Prophylaxis of oesophageal varices (BOPP Trial)

I think what I must have seen,was regarding taking beta blockers,eg carvedilol, versus band litigation, via endoscopy . For the best outcome.My best .Chris
