Has anyone developed a hard lump with Cirrhosis

Just wondering if anyone developed a hard lump above stomach, top of ribcage area slightly to the right hand side? I have de compensated cirrhosis and ascities going on. Obviously I will be asking my consultant about it and I don’t expect a diagnosis here but I was curious to know if anyone developed this? It’s not sore.

Thanks for any information.

Ann.

hubby had a enlarged spleen which was a large lump but I think it was left side - again not painful- if your not seeing your consultant in a while, please go to your doctor- good luck x

my son has decompensated cirrhosis and he goes to a hospice for a fluid drain weekly . He developed a lump the size of a golf ball on his stomach and he worried it was a hernia or something worse . The consultant told him this week it is a pocket in his stomach where the fluid leaks into and nothing to worry about . If you press your lump does it go down - does it hurt ?

Stephen’s doesn’t hurt and when pressed it goes down . Hope yours is ok but I think you should get it checked . Best wishes Carol

Thanks Carol. Wishing your son the best. No mine is hard and I don’t want to press it but I’ll ask the consultant to check it out.

Hi, like Carols son, my Mum developed a lump in her tummy, it didn’t hurt and moved when pressed. The doctors said it was a hernia caused by the ascites. They weren’t worried about it,. Having said that, it’s always worth getting these things checked out.
