Permanently cold

My partner has liver cirrhosis and is generally well at the moment. He is always cold is this something to do with his liver???

Yes.

There you go nice and simple answer, lol. The liver plays a big part in your body's energy production system. With cirrhosis that can be impaired so its not unusual to have the symptom of being "cold all the time". I know I did!

I used to sit in the office with my coat over my shoulders like a blanket most days, lol. Everyone else would simply be wandering round in short sleave shirts!

Just keep an eye out for any noticeable shivering. It'd probably be accompanied by other symptoms, but shivering can be associated with an infection, so if you notice that over and above what would be normal for him, then it may be worth a trip to your gp to get it check out to be on the safe side. Its quite easy to miss some of the subtleties sometimes, particularly when you don't always feel the best anyway.

I also suffer with this I used to be a wild water swimmer in the past ( considered mad in those days), so previously had no problem , I find this together with insomnia to be one of the side effects of liver cirrhosis
