Of course there is…provided you keep away from alcohol and follow your doctors advice. I was diagnosed in March 21 and my bloods are normal, feel very well and at my last appointment with my consultant was told there was no reason why I wouldn’t have a normal life expectancy provided I carried on with my new abstinent lifestyle.
Hi 👋.. welcome to the forum..So... I was diagnosed with end stage liver disease in 2008.. very poorly , yellow, ascites, duodenal ulcer , bleeding etc.. malnutrition, in hospital for 6 weeks, given 3 drains to get the fluid off my tummy due to a failing liver ...
And here I am !! Listened to my liver drs , quit booze ,quit smoking, healthy eating.. but I do have a sweat tooth when it comes to chocolate 🍫 lol.. I was decompensated for 2 yrs ,now decompensated for 13 years.. it can be done ... please don't get me wrong ,I still have effects of living with cirrhosis, fatigue, nausea , sleep issues , acid reflux, itching.. list is endless but mentally I'm in such a better place and that in itself speaks volumes.
I'm sure you will be fine 🙂.. day at a time
All the best
Linda
