Unfortunately my hubby has no insurance out and has been trying to get one but the few he has phoned has rejected him due to awaiting transplant and has said come back after he has got it.Has anyone else managed to get one out after diagnoses or are we wasting our time now.

Life insurance
Hi, I've pulled a life insurance policy out based on it being any undiagnosed illness or accidental death, I used Hive insurance via Niellson, paying £31.40per month. In effect, I'm covered if anything that hasn't currently being diagnosed causes my fatality. I'd personally get one like this for him for now, be open about his liver diagnosis, but also ring around for other policies. Most insurers won't cover underlying conditions, and won't cover post-transplant patients for quite a while until medically they're stable again.
Dear Fauncey,

Hi not sure how old your husband is but we got an over 50 policy that does not ask health questions for my wife but it is not cheap
Hi Fauncey,
I’m in the U.S. so not sure how it will compare, but when my husband was rushed to the hospital with burst varices and decompensated cirrhosis in 2019, I also had to search for insurance. Most would not cover him. There were several that would with no medical questions, however the stipulation is that the policyholder (husband) had to survive two years from policy issue date for the policy to pay out. It was also rather expensive. Good luck and I hope your husband will be feeling better soon.
