I just received a letter with the results of my liver biopsy and it shows "perivenular sinusoidal dilation and congestion, with associated collapse, and possible venous outflow obstruction". This isn't what they were looking for and I have absolutely no idea what it means. Is anybody able to explain, please?
Thanks!

Ask your Dr to explain but my simple understanding is that blood flow through the liver is backing up because of a possible blockage and causing internal capillaries and veins to enlarge.Lots of diseases/conditions cause it so now they have to find out why.
Thanks for your reply - it's much appreciated. I was wondering if it was something to do with the veins, as the next step is a CT scan of the hepatic vasculature. I will ask my doctor, but I'm typically waiting 9 months between appointments and I didn't want to be left wondering for that long!
