Following a stroke,I've had blood tests to monitor drug dosages etc. This revealed unrelated raised bilirubin levels which prompted my GP to refer for a scan which in turn has revealed gallstones from 6 -19 mms. My GP said no obvious liver damage but has referred me to a specialist rather than manage. I had been unaware that very occasional mild stomach discomfort was a possible symptom. I'm not clear whether the bilirubin has caused the gallstones or is a consequence of gallstones. I have very low cholesterol levels, don't smoke, drink in strict moderation, good diet. If an op for removal is recommended has anyone any experience of coming off Clopidogrel and Atorvastatin prior to the op? I have a Consultant referral next week anything I should ask?
