Rapid weight gain and then loss

Hi just recently been in and out of hospital with swelling and bloated feeling extremely painful stomach,got cirohsis.

I gained over 25kilos in around 5 weeks and felt extremely tired and unwell,I was in hospital for nearly 3 weeks, found a large hernia and a small one, but said that it would be top dangerous to operate due to fluid, but not enough to drain.since I was admitted I've lost over 28kilos, and losing roughly half a kilo a day, still eating but the weight is dropping and quite a lot of muscle has gone, trying to get answers from new consultant, but struggling to get a response, seeing new liver specialist nurses on the 7th September, don't know if I should be worried about this, going to try and see GP, but feel that they will just send me back to the hospital.should I be concerned.

Update I managed to get to speak with my consultant,he decided to reduce the amount of tablets, and monitoring my blood more often
