How do the jaundiced eyes really look like. My 12yo brother has portion of his eyes yellow with blood vessels and I'm worried about it.

If you have concerns about your brother then he should see a doctor. Jaundice can be easily checked for with a face to face appointment with doctor and some simple blood tests. Jaundice which causes yellowing is the result of too much bilirubin in the blood.

That being said it is pretty normal for the outer area of the sclera (white of the eye) to be a creamy white colour with obvious blood vessels. I see you are in Pakistan - if your brother is of Pakistani origin then the eyes can look yellower against darker skin tones.

If you have concerns then your brother needs some simple tests.

Best wishes,

Katie

If you are concerned about your brother please do take him to see a doctor for medical assessment.
