My username is Charlie legs after one of my dogs. This is my boy, he passed away, naturally of old age, approximately 14 years old. Luckily we, my partner, other dog and the 2 cats were all there as I held him as he went. We are gutted, the house isn't the same and the pecking order has changed now. We all miss him loads 🙏🥺💜💕🌟🌟🐶

A dog loves us unconditionally... it becomes one of our children. When my last one passed it broke my heart and I could not go through that again. I have cats now.... Cats are still wonderful, friendly and show affection but... You never "own" a cat, they just choose to live with us because it suits them... as much as it hurts when they go, it is never as painful as losing a dog for me.

I totally adore my cats but yes, it's not quite the same. My little buddy Boo is lost as is Flash, The 3 of them had been together for years. Tiger thinks with his belly and doesn't seem bothered 🤔 it is so quiet 🐾🐾🐶🐈‍⬛🐕🐱🐈🐽

Oh lucky GeeGee!! My horse was sold when I was going through a sort of breakdown and it wasn't what I wanted. I had her from her 3rd birthday. I have no idea what happened to her, she would be 22 if alive. Thanks for your condolences 🙏

Amazing how many people have the name of their pet in the email address! Paddy passed away age 15. He had a heart attack chasing the postman. He was such a character I always knew he would go out in style 🤣

Sorry to read about your dog. I’ve only had cats but when one of them goes it’s awful. Lost my eldest late last year she was 19! My youngest one Oscar had been mothered by her when he was a kitten and kept looking for her for days. It was really sad to watch. He’s now discovered he gets more food and attention so seems to have got over it. Your dog looks lovely, I bet he was a character. He has that look about him. Take care.

Sorry for your loss. What a beauty he was.They do leave a massive hole, and huge paw prints on your heart.

I lost my oldie 2 1/2 years ago from old age. She was my rock through so much, had a really special bond with my daughter.

We lost one of our cats last summer, got hit by a car and killed right outside our house.

We now have a dog, completely different breed, and 5 cats.

My dog is fab, she’s a springer so after a challenging day either at work or home on goes her lead and off we go for a nice long walk.

How sad to read your post. We have had three dogs during our lives and all were very different. We still talk about them to this day and have very heart warming memories of their naughty moments along witg their very loving and loyal nature. We still miss each of them very much. Thoughts to you all.

She has a look of Charlie legs girlfriend, Cookie. They would pretend to be chariot racing with a branch, the size of a tree, carried between them. Scary, they could take your legs from under you if you didn't jump out of their way😱
