Blood test

Anyone been called back for a blood test because it showed something wrong with the liver had another blood test and nothing was wrong or was just a common infection

There are all sorts of reasons why a blood test can be elevated. It’s also common to repeat the test a little later to see if the result changes. The doctor will look at the results in the round. If all other tests are normal and just one is mildly elevated they will use their clinical judgement about what to do next. They will consider your sons clinical history, his life style and symptoms. So I wouldn’t panic at the moment. It’s very likely that there’s nothing wrong. To be honest if the results were wildly concerning he’d not be having bloods repeated he’d be getting referred or sent into hospital as an emergency.

Thankyou so much for your reply. I’m am sat worrying all day and most of the night it’s driving me crazy. I can’t sleep. Yes I guess if it was really concerning they would have him back.
