Hi Ducky
I'm glad you got it done. Just as we expected no problems with the GA
If you had keyhole surgery (laparoscopic) they do inflate you with CO2 and your stomach may be swollen and bloated until it is all out of your system (it can be a few days or a few weeks), but naturally you should always check with your GP if you have any problems.
Recovery, that is a good point... you have had surgery but outwardly you may look completely well and fit but, you should remember that internally you need to heal and should restrict yourself to very light duties for 4 weeks and definitely no heavy lifting for 2 months.
I hope the nausea and bloating passes quickly but no overdoing it, that's an order
Dave
As Dave says but please contact your GP or phone 111 if you feel something isn't right. Not to scare you but I had my gallbladder out 18 years ago and it 2 years to recover as the surgeon had a little accident during mine but I wasn't told until I was rushed back into hospital 4 days later looking 8 months pregnant. If you don't feel right get it checked just for your own peace if mind.
