Hi squarks I had my normal 6 month bloods and ultrasound in July this year, my actual telephone consultation with my liver Dr was cancelled? So I'm in the same position as you , my thinking is that maybe they will see us face 2 face at the next 6 month appointment 🤔.. I haven't had any letters as yet but due to all the back log of patients I presume this is the case as i have been waiting 11 weeks for oral surgery to extract my painful wisdom tooth and respiratory clinic for tests .

Yes thats my thinking though I have noted when my next 6 months is due so that at least we should get the blood and ultrasound done if they are still clearing back log appts .Thank you 😊, oh I have been in agony on and off , I did ring the hospital yesterday but even they are in the same position! If only they knew what I'm going through x take care ! X

I’ll make a note of my next ultrasound and bloods, at least they were actually done, and really not much point speaking to the liver doc as my ultrasound results weren’t any worse than last time, luckily! Good luck with your appointments hopefully won’t be much longer, xx

You could always phone your consultants Secretary and ask, I was accidentally left of the clinic list for 3 years, didn't think much of it, thought they didn't want to see me because everything was ok, and consultant went into panic at my yearly endoscopy.Hilary

My hubby has had his 6 monthly scans and follow up MRI scan - correspondence between us and doctor has been by letter & consultants secretary sent U/S report to us via email. Bloods I managed to arrange at GP's. He hasn't had a consultation either in person or by phone since January 2020. He did see one of his Edinburgh consultants briefly whilst he was an inpatient for a couple of days this June but other than that just scans.

I would definitely ring the secretary that's what they are there for it's probably been a mix up. 😊

Ring your consultant's secretary - I've disappeared from lists for various appointments on a few occasions - the latest being a venogram - they cancelled me due to an infection and then never put me back on the list - a call to the consultant's secretary got me a new appointment date arranged the same day. I am still getting phone consultations 6 monthly with hepatology although no face to face other than whilst in hospital.
