I have a slightly abnormal liver function test.

I don't think it's important. Only 2 issues

2 tests

1= alanine 42 and GGT 76

2=Alanine 56 GGT 78

Offered ultrasound, but not sure it's worth doing - don't want to use nhs time because covid.

Interested to get feedback.

Hi.If you have been offered an ultrasound l would definately take it, if the NHS say it's safe to do so, they must think you're worthy of it.

Good kuck.

Hi tan1aw

As Laura says - if you have been offered an Ultrasound then you really should grab this opportunity straight away - as it won’t have been offered lightly.

Good luck

Definitely worth taking the scan if it's being offered, that way they can check that all is ok and that you've nothing to be concerned about.You are not wasting NHS time to get scanned. Someone obviously thinks you need this additional test just to rule out anything that might cause further issues.

Best wishes, Katie

Thanks all very reassuring. They say nhs not overwhelmed by Covid-they are overwhelmed if other treatments/Diagnosis/ surgery are unable to go ahead. Back log will be contracts to private health care who donate to Tories or personal contacts.

NHS priced out already.

Hope people not waiting too long.

Thank you all. Had ultrasound and left lobe enlarged whatever that means. Diagnosis

Liver changes

Gallstones

So there’s nothing to worry about!

Thanks again- even if all clear, glad I did have it in the end!

Glad you had the scan. You now need to arrange a follow up appointment . You may be contacted but l wouldn't leave it in case you slip through the net and miss explanations or treatment you may require.

Thank you, I have booked a telephone appointment for 28 Sept just to review the various tests I've had which have been 'borderline' recently. Just want to make sure they are looking at all the tests together, or if they've been looking at them individually.

albumin/creatinine ratio: 25.4 mg/mmol

ALT 54

GGT 78

New diabetes 54.

Gallstones.

Enlarged liver, liver changes/intrinsic liver disease, think, is probably Fatty liver?

No followup.

Think none of the tests is particularly high though, obviously want to catch something early though

Will check though to be sure.

Thanks again.
