Covid19 patient stories

Many of you have told us that you have been so worried about contracting Covid-19, especially if you live with someone who has to go out to work. Do you have an experience to share with us? Have you had coronavirus, or had a family member living with you that did? We would like to share your story – anonymously – with some of the kind people who have helped provide us with emergency funding over the last year.

I caught Covid in January. I have AIH and was on steroids and immunosuppressants at that time. For me Covid was like having a cold but I had no coughing or raised temperature. I was soon back to work and have been fine since. My husband caught it from me - he also has autoimmune disease and he recovered well.

Yeah, had two scares, then caught it. I’d had a sore throat for 4 days, then it left and my nose was so stuffed, couldn’t smell, then couldn’t taste dinner. I quarantine immediately and spent another several days in a room with a family member bringing me coffee who was having a harder time with it than myself. I had a friend come over and we talked thru a sliding glass door, very interesting time of learning and self reflection.
