Thank you to everybody here that has reached out to help answer all my questions when I was very afraid and the support got me through all the nights I couldn’t sleep.My liver specialist just reached back with news that has change my life for ever I thought I was going to be an alcoholic for ever and was scared I ruined my liver and a chance to live a full life I don’t take my life for granted any more I know there’s a lot of people fighting the fight and that are sicker then me.I will always post here and help people at any time.Thank you to everybody from the bottom of my heart for the live and support from this forum. was it hard to get liver test biology

For me it was… I had soo many issues because of my weight my dr ordered a Fibroscan scan which showed cirrhosis of the liver which the drs said to loose weight. I did lost 90lbs and they rechecked me 4 months later and showed no fatty and no scaring but he said it could be a false positive results and to come back in a year. i said fuck no !This is my life where talking about here! So he finally referred me to a liver specialist.Fast forward my liver specialist did a Mre and it showed F2-f3 mild scaring… but he wanted to make sure so he ordered a biopsy and it was clear so I believe that BMI has a lot to do with other false positive results and the gold standard is biopsy. after 2 years of drs thinking I was crazy I need to know if it was cirrhosis of my liver .my specialist told me Mike you are in the right and I’m glad you fought to see me .I instantly started to cry because I finally felt like I had a dr on my side so don’t stop asking question and don’t give up till u have all your answers!Fight.

I completely can sympathize with you I had to change Drs and it was a struggle and I only fought because I was told my Fibroscan was showing Cirrhosis and my Mre showed mild scaring so my Liver specialist said to make sure let’s do that biopsy. your fighting for your life and yes some people may need metal help I never had a clear scan it was all ways abnormal if I would have had a clear Fibroscan it would have truthfully put my mind at ease it was that drs where not giving me the correct test because of my BMI hence biopsy was the only way for them to truthfully know .hang in there my friend don’t give up till u have your answers.Praying for you my friend

Everybody is very different I’m just going off my story I only pursued it more because there was false positive reading if you feel like you need more answers then u should follow up with a GP or seek to get a Fibroscan or other helpful tools to assess your liver if u feel like it warrants it.
