Ultrasound or fibroscan or both?

Hi, I’m looking for some advice please. I’m a 50 year old female, and have been a reasonably heavy drinker for the last few decades. Pressure of work, which has a drinking culture, bereavement, divorce, you name it! Last few years I’ve been drinking most nights and it started to give me anxiety and insomnia. I had some blood work done over a month ago and my ALT was raised at 56 ( along with abnormal kidney function tests, high creatinine) . I stopped alcohol and my recent test has showed ALt of 31, so reduced. I’ve been referred for my kidneys and am having an ultrasound for them but my doctor is happy with my liver results so hasn’t suggested an ultrasound of my liver. I’d like peace of mind as looking back through my past blood tests, my ALT has increased over the years so looking into paying privately. Not sure which test to get though? I live in UK ( London).

Many thanks

Hi, I'm a 35 yo female who has had side pain for the last 6 months. I've been heavy drinking for fun, work culture, stress relief and to cope with bereavement too since I was in my teens so I completely understand. My GP laughed at me and said that my liver was fine as normal bloods and that the liver doesn't have pain receptors. This originally caused my to go back to my daily drinking. However, my partner made my get a private scan in London and the doctor found severe fatty liver. There was a package which includes an ultrasound and a fibroscan. It was really worth it. I've never posted on here before. If you can private message, I'll reply with details. Thanks.
