I am currently in receipt of ESA,because of not been able to work,my advisor asked me if I got P.I.P i think,!that was mentioned when I went through the cancer scare,he said it may be a better option than taking pension,I'm 55 next, just need a more stable future,
If you are going to apply for PIP I strongly suggest you join the Benefits and Work website, for a small subscription they have members only guides which take you step by step through the application process and provide great guidance on completing the paperwork so you have all the necessary information. benefitsandwork.co.uk/
My hubby was in receipt of ESA (Support Group - only currently off it because he got an inheritance that took us over savings threshold) plus gets Enhanced Daily Living and Basic Rate Mobility elements of PIP. Because he gets PIP at the enhanced rate I have been able to apply for carers allowance too.
Best wishes, Katie
Thank you.
