I had my Bloods request form today and under Clinical Details it said that USScan showed Mulitple Hepatic Cysts...which I knew..but also Biliary Dilation and Pacreatitis...which is news to me! It had a ? just before it on the form. Whats thst mean? When I had my phone appt with Gastric Doc last week he didnt mention this Just Cysts and enlarged Liver.

Hello nesh, it's good that they have found them. Have they indicated what the next course of action is going to be? I would have thought that they might now refer you to a hepatologist.

Many thanks

Richard

Hi Richard. Once I've had Bloods done I have to ring and make appt to have CT scan and Endoscopy. Its just that when I spoke to Gastro he didnt mention these findings. I wasnt aware.

Hi nesh60, may I suggest contacting either your specialist team or your GP? They will have access to your full records and should be able to offer you a fuller explanation of your ultrasound. Our nurse led help line is open Monday to Friday 10-3 0800 652 7330 if you would like further support.Take care,

Thank you 🙂

I have multiple liver cysts and had pancreatitis a few years ago with it. They believe some cysts had ruptured. I also have a very enlarged liver (look about 4 months pregnant). I usually get regular blood tests for liver levels and scans to detect whether cysts have got bigger or causing issues. I do get indigestion and other gastrointestinal discomfort. Have to eat little and often and pee very frequently. I’ve been told to report any severe pain or ongoing discomfort and they usually just give me an abdominal exam to feel liver. Hope that help. You can always pm me if you need to talk further. Hope all goes well and don’t worry liver cysts are benign they aren’t cancerous. British liver society have a good write up and use the helpline they are really friendly👍
