It should not take over a month, call your GP practice and ask for a copy of the results.
But please be reassured that, if they found anything wrong that requires immediate intervention, you would have received a phone call.
At our surgery they say the bloods results are your results so it's up to you to phone in to them for results - they never send results out or phone us unless they show something that requires urgent follow up. Our surgery says phone after a week.

Hello Purrd, are you by any chance in the UK? Most doctors surgeries now operate a system where you can access certain medical files online. My particular doctors practise use, "Patient Access". Here I can order up repeat prescriptions and get to see blood test results. You can even get to see those letters written to your doctor from a consultant.
This service can be useful as it means you can get to see the answers. Some doctors don’t bother to contact their patients if nothing untoward was found. Do you happen to know what type of blood test your doctor has called for?
It might be worth asking for an ELF test rather than a basic Liver function test. Some doctors do tend to put too much faith in the liver function test. It is not uncommon on this site to find people who have end-stage liver disease, and still have normal blood readings. An ELF (Enhanced Liver Fibrosis) score give a much clearer picture and can show fatty liver and liver fibrosis. It’s certainly a better test to have. Then once the true readings are known, further tests and scans might be required.
Good Luck
Richard
It is unusual for blood tests to take that long to report on. Can you consider calling the GP's to see why it is taking extra time?
Blood tests normally take a week at most- as the others have said give them a call and ask for the results - a hard copy is useful for reference
Hi Purrd. Have you had the results yet? And how are you doing ?Laura
