Hello,
I've recently been diagnosed with fatty liver - probably non alcoholic. Very high triglycerides. (Raised ALT 300ish), much higher than AST, which is apparently a good sign in terms of it not being cirrhosis/fibrosis? Liver ultrasound shows a bright liver, report says along the lines of "changes consistent with widespread fatty infiltration". Waiting for a fibroscan to be sure - still slightly worried it may be more than fatty liver.
That's the first part.
The second part is that I get pain in my upper right abdomen intermittently (had my gallbladder checked, no stones). The pain is sometimes dull, its sometimes a shooting stabbing pain - it wraps around to the side of my ribs.
Can a fatty liver cause pain? All I've read online is that you only get pain when it becomes fibrosis/cirrhosis. I don't have other symptoms, no jaundice, normal coloured stools, normal energy, no spider lavi etc.
any comments would be appreciated
