Fibroscan results

I had a Fibroscan A few month’s ago . I was told I have severe fatty liver with no scarring. My numbers were CAP 297 and KPA 4.8. Can anyone help me understand what those numbers mean?

Kpa 4,8 means that your liver is healthy.

Some not so good news and some good news.

Your CAP score of 297 puts you into the most severe bracket of fatty liver which I presume from your profile name you already know.

kPa of 4.8 though is good though and shows you currently have no fibrosis.

You obviously need to see what can be done as regards reversing your fatty liver before there is any deterioration to your liver.

Thank you. This may be a strange question but is there any way to get the fat out of my liver or does it stay this way and I make changes so it does not get worse? The link in your comment does not work by the way.

My CAP is 370 and my KPA is 7 and I dont know what i should do. Waiting for any recommendations from the group

It is a shame your medical team did not give you more direction. I was told to lose weight (I am overweight), zero alcohol, and exercise regularly. My hepatologist recommended the Mediterranean diet.
