Hay fellow members guess what?? I have just found 3 little toms in my greenhouse about the 1/4 of my small fingernail, but I am chuffed to beans, my Q,s seem to be putting out tendrils and with all my "Engineering Skills " I have managed to rig up some sort of platform for them to grow on. hay a bit like Cancer, if one has faith and self-belief then "From little apples grow big trees" I don't know if I got that saying right, but it will do for me.. see !!! things can go right sometimes. have a very happy and holy day. I bet you are all so excited about my next update... (NOT) but I will give one anyway O BTW 21 beans up out of 23, and Rhubarb doing so well gave a load to Margarete "92" yrs my neighbor.

she wanted to make a Crumb..

OK till next time all be good and stay safe..

Regards

Paderico.

Hi Paderico,

Well done on the toms.

Now that you've seen them they will put on rapid growth, especially if we get some sunshine back :-)

I've put lots of new bedding plants in the garden and transferred a few shrubs from pots into the ground so at least this rain has given some respite from the watering.

Unless I can get any tomato plants in the next week or so I will have to give up on the idea for this year.

The gardening has certainly eased any lockdown stress!

Have a great eve.

Alf :-) :-)

Hi Alf, we have not had any rain here and I will say that my rain barrel is almost empty, but hay-ho I will make do and mend with the one I have, I did buy a slimline one but waiting for the chap to come and fit it, my "Engineering Skills" just don't reach that far I am afraid. so thank you I hope Anne and yourself will have a good evening, I am ready for my bed now so good night to both,

Regards

No probs glad to help out 😀

Good morning Paderico

Firstly, I look forward to reading your updates! By any chance did your neighbour bake that rhubarb crumble and share some with you?

Yesterday I popped into the garden to feed and water the numerous birds with a mixture of fat balls and seeds and at the same time I was picking lots of rocket and salad leaves from one of two veggie plots along with a bunch of radishes which are just yummy. I must say it's such a delight eating fresh salad from your garden!

The weather here in Shropshire has been a mixture of rain, winds and sunshine bringing down numerous leaves and small branches covering the pathways

etc, I did manage to spend a few hours out in the drizzle yesterday sweeping and tidying up which was quiet enjoyable as daft as it may sound.

Oh well take care of yourself and enjoy those toms when they get large enough to eat!

Love Trish x

ShropshirLass1772. Hello, Trish gosh you must have lot's and lot's to do, I can just about keep my little bit going but I enjoy it so much. and all the tiny little fruits are starting to show themselves now I get quite carried away by it. anyway NO I didn't get any crumb. just as well I am still in lockdown I think my Onco wants me to stay at home and see June out then we will talk again, mind you he is going to telephone me on the 22nd June so we shall see. And in all honesty, I can make my own, bless her she probably forgot to offer.

Take care (don't work 2 hard)..

Hi Paderico

I would like more updates I’m not allowed toms or rhubarb or anything with a skin or pips because at the beginning of the year I had an emergency operation that left me with a stoma ileostomy bag ,and I’m a hopeless gardener 🙁. My wife is a terrific gardener as far as I’m concerned and I love to watch things growing I think it’s fascinating, trouble with me is no patient with waiting 🙈, won’t a cucumber or tomato go to Tesco’s 😂 good luck with your beans and all.

Just talking about gardens we are in the process of buying and selling our house and we have seen a lovely little bungalow but the garden is small so my skills with wood and glass are going to be used.

Good luck and Stay Safe

Dogbot, Hello and good morning awwww so sorry about your illness, but just think even with a small garden you can still have really nice things, I dont have a large bit of garden at all, I guess I make do and mend. well all my bits and bob's are just now showing promise, but my updates won't be really exciting as I don't have that much produce, BUT I will say the plum tree is looking as though we may have some fruit this year, poor old tree sadly it isn't looked after as it should be, but our resident gardener moved on some time ago and he was so good at his job now there is just a chap who really doesn't know a flower from a weed and myself, I am about as good as a wet newspaper, so, for now, I wish you all the best and I am sure you will love your little garden.

Hi Paderico the wife says you will have your hands full looking after a Plum tree they really are quite a specialised thing Susceptible to disease but lovely when you get the fruit 😋. Sounds like you have a little bit of land, we are terrible we are planning all the jobs we want doing and we haven’t sold ours or brought the bungalow yet 😂.

I can see us getting really disappointed if we lose it so we must stop, I do hope your feeling well and the lockdown hasn’t been to much of a pain. Take good care of yourself 😃.

Stay Safe All
