Anyone heard of gauchers dicesse. My partner died in November aged 39 after a cardiac arrest which caused severe brain damage. Yes he was an alcoholic and had cirrhosis but he was so young. I was looking through his medical letters and following a blood test there was a mention of gauchers. He was on a lot of meds before cirrohis for epilepsy and dihydrocodine for his back. Just think sometimes it’s easy to blame alcohol for everything Thoughts please

Gauchers discease
Sorry for your loss Dingbat. I have no personal knowledge about this condition, however,
looking up Gauchers Disease it can cause fatty build up in the liver and other organs and can cause a whole range of symptoms so you may be right that alcohol only partially contributed to his situation. It's an inherited genetic condition. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gauch... more information at mayoclinic.org/diseases-con...
