Is hair thinning a usual symptom of liver sclerosis?

My ex-husband has liver sclerosis and now his hair is thinning rapidly. Is this to be expected?

Yes thinning hair is all part of cirrhosis I'm affraid. My husband's hair went a little thin but the texture was more the issue. He lost his soft waves and it more resembled a used brillo pad!

Yes, 'fraid so. I am trying not to be too bothered by it or vain when there are more serious issues in the world but my previously thick hair now poor and thin and have albut lost my eyelashes too. Wendy

Have you tried the plantur 39 range? It's caffeine based and claims to help reduce hairloss. Maybe worth checking the ingredients to make sure no alcohol is hidden in though. I very much doubt there is but you just never know !

My hair really thinned and I didn’t have much hair to start with lol! I use a shampoo and conditioning treatment called nioxin it has really helped mine xx
