Does anyone know how I can let Sainsbury’s know I am having to shield myself - their phone lines are choked, the local store is prioritising in-store shoppers and head office don’t answer the phone. There are no e-mail addresses, comments on facebook and twitter are ignored
Hi Coco 513.
Supermarkets are snowed under with orders for home delivery and for click and collect at the moment.
I have been trying for the last few days to make an order on line. I haven't been able to contact anyone to speak to by phone or email.
I persevered and I eventually got a click and collect slot for 3rd of April, there were no home delivery slots available at all even at that date.
As my wife and I are not able to leave home I have arranged for our son who is working from home and only lives about 4 miles away to pick it up for us (that is so long as he and his family remain well) If he can't pick it up for us for any reason then we will have to try and come up with a plan B.
It took me two and a half hours to complete the transaction because the site kept crashing due to the amount of people trying to use it.
All I can say is keep trying.
There is a Government site for the extremely vulnerable that you can register with online if you get in desperate need.
They will get supplies to you but they will be only basic supplies qoo.ly/353asj
All the very best with it.

Yes, I agree. Just a gentle reminder the clocks go back on Sunday, which means we all get to spend an extra hour indoors.
Very good advice Mark, I still see people in my village not adopting the 2 meter rule. I think it's the "it won't happen to me" mentality........stupid.
