I am a 39 year old female with on and off drinking habits. This past year I suffered from an accident and took A LOT of Tylenol. I also relapsed and drank daily for the last 6 months. Recently I had blood work done, and my liver enzymes are extremely elevated - ALT 317 and AST 269.
I am yet to talk to my dr as the results were just sent to me with high alert.
Can anyone tell me if these numbers were skewed because I was taking Tylenol and OTC cold medicine with Tylenol in it (stupid I know), while on a two week drinking binge (even stupider, I know) and this is an acute response or do these levels indicate chronic damage.
Thanks so much in advance,

Unfortunately no-one is medically qualified to comment on your blood test results, and reference ranges can vary across the country.
May I suggest you discuss this with your own doctors as they are best placed to interpret the results for you individually.
For good liver health going forward, it would be wise to limit your alcohol consumption, have a good balanced diet with exercise and discuss any over the counter or prescription medication with your doctors.
