Has anyone reversed their fatty liver condition?

Hi Leber I have cirrhosis plus fatty liver due to having had the Hep c virus..I have cured the virus that most likely caused the fatty liver as I wasn't overweight to have so much fat in my liver..I still have some fat but not nearly as much as before!

I changed my diet by eating less sugar and trying to eat more healthy foods..it seems to be working for me as the fatty liver is now getting so much better.

They do say you can reverse fat in your liver by keeping your weight stable and eating a low fat and less sugar diet..it definitely has had a big effect on the amount of fat in my liver now of which is very minimal compared to before.

In reverse now...exercise, lose weight, no alcohol and healthy eating - nothing processed, no red meat, no white bread - swap to whole grain, and eat lots of fish, chicken and turkey with fresh veg.

Simple steatosis (fatty liver) can indeed be reversed with lifestyle changes as our forum members have suggested.

It may be useful to ask your doctors about fibrosis markers e.g FibroScan for monitoring ?
