Evening everyone..

Its been a while since i last posted, so thought i would post again. First of all i would like to say i hope every ones Christmas was as good as it could have gone and wishing 2020 is a year of a turn around for many.

Ive been pretty busy myself, volunteering in MIND, busy supporting family and friends, i became a great Aunty again two weeks ago. Its been hard going with everything going on with hubby still but keeping myself busy keeps me sane(well sort of ha ha).

Hubby is very rarely well, if he isnt sleeping, hes awake in a lot of pain with his stomach, the times he is awake and the pain is bearable and hes drinking (yes he still continues to drink, but instead of drinking loads of Stella, and a ltr of Vodka a day, hes drinking wine and whiskey.) He isnt able to keep it down most of the time but instead of thinking ive been sick i wont drink anymore, he will still continue to drink. I used to loose my rag with him but just made things worse so i just say very calmly shouldnt you just stop and his reply is ive been sick i feel ok now. Hes got swollen legs and feet, to the point hes lost feeling in them, his HE isnt causing him to be rude to me as much but what it is doing is causing him to be confused a lot, could be something that simple to us eg,loading a dvd in the dvd player but to him i may as well ask him to build a boat, hes no clue. His voice is very harsh (so im guessing the start of a chest infection) Hes refused to go to the drs to have anything checked, his very words, i will never step foot in a drs or hospital ever again. I dont argue with him anymore or anything, i say ok dear, your choice. As the saying goes you can lead a donkey to the well but you cant force it to drink. Do i wish he would go to the drs and get checked over? yes of course i would love for him to at least then we would be given a proper diagnosis, but i also have to respect the fact he is scared of knowing the diagnosis. Is it better to know than not to know? So this is one of the reasons i am so greatful for this group because i know the support is always there and i can help support others who need it on here.

I do keep thinking that maybe hubby doesnt have cirrhosis (as some are aware the drs told him last year that he doesnt have it and his liver is working ok, ) He doesnt have the itchy skin, hes not jaundice, his stomach is big (about the size of a 6 months pregnancy) so not too big, but his heart races, he cant tolerate alcohol,is exausted most of the time, sleeps a lot, swollen legs and toes, clubbed toes (not so much fingers)H.E. Just taking one day at a time... Sorry just realised ive gone on a bit..

Take care all..

Lyn..
