Hi
Have you got the oil of clove liquid, put some in cotton wool and put it on your sore tooth. Do you have gabapentin or duloxetine. My Dr said you can use nasid short-term so long as you take something like omeprazole with it. Are you going to the dentist in the morning? You don't need toothache amongst everything else. Hope you get some relief soon
Love and hugs Lynne xxxx
I only had whole cloves so I took the top of the spice bottle and poured them into my mouth. They did work. I had to have the tooth pulled couldnt save it . So all is well now. Thank you and hope you are doing ok
Hi Mary
Oh my -toothache can be so debilitating at times 😕👎. Had a dry socket after an extraction - funny (not!) how bad my teeth have become since cirrhosis- and nothing but nothing could stop that hurting. Looks like you’re unfortunately in the same boat. 😕. Which is really unhelpful of me, sorry...but there comes a limit as to how many pain killers you can stuff down yourself doesn’t there.... eventually antibiotics did the trick days later. Ooops there I go again Mr. Pessimistic- days....hmmm
I just hope your body just works it wonders by itself

Ibuprofen is an absolute no go if you have liver disease, please don’t take it.
Try co-codamol, but discuss it with either your doctor or pharmacist.
Try solphadine with codiene in it but lower the dose ask your gp .
As others have said, I was always advised no Ibuprofen. Paracetamol was the advise, but be very careful to stick to the right dose, paracetamol can destroy the liver when overdosed.
I would definitely see a GP for advice.
Good morning Marydel63,
Sorry to hear of your toothache !
As others have suggested, it is always best to discuss medications with your GP - I appreciate this is not always possible, I have therefore attached the NHS information
Hope it gets better soon

A trip to the dentist!
🤣🤣🤣
Sorry to state the obvious but if the over the counter meds aren't helping then you need to go see the dentist.
As others have said, steer well clear of ibuprofen if you have liver disease.
Hi Mary
Hopefully by now you've taken advice from either your dentist or GP and your pain has now eased a little.
I know what I'm about to say is not the same as taking a form of pain killer tablet but for future reference it might help with minor pain around your tooth discomfort gum area.
I always keep a tube of Bonjela in my medical box which contains Choline Sallcylate/cCetalkonium Chloride which is a pain killer and anti-inflammatory jell. I'm not saying it will kill all of your pain totally but may help easing it a little plus it helps in reducing any bacteria forming around your gums.
Finally please check with pharmacist to see if ok to take with your current medications/ medical conditions in the future.
I trust this brief note is of some interest to you and to others
Take care in the meantime
Love
