Ever since I received my first really helpful reply on this forum, I’ve wanted to give something back.

I was thinking about this earlier, and then within half an hour, I found something that I honestly believe can significantly ease the worries (would you accept by up to 43%?) of many people. The facts I’ve read in here have certainly helped me, and if you knew me, then you’d know that that’s certainly no mean feat!

The information I’m referring to is about the benefits to our livers from drinking coffee, and I apologise if this is old news’ to many people, but I’ve been really lifted by these facts this morning, and I really hope someone else can be helped by this - even today, and just by reading it - as I was.

Just for an ‘eye catching headline’, here’s a short extract that I lifted from page 9 of the main (86 page!) document, that summarises the reasons for my hope:

“The results of the prospective cohort studies, in particular, are indicative of a dose-response relationship. Two extra cups of coffee per day are associated with a 43% reduced risk of liver cancer, amongst populations who typically consume anything from 1 to over 5 cups a day”

And here is the full report:

I really hope at least one person can feel slightly helped by this...

I’m certainly trying to do so, Lynne, thank you.

You take care, too. Your health and your happiness matter - and not just to you...

Well, I certainly hope so, Ofeckman.

I’ve never been a coffee drinker, but I’ve started drinking it now, and I intend to stick to doing so every day.

I’d be extremely interested to know how you’ve benefited from this personally, and also whether any other forum members have tried, and can vouch for this, too...

Nor me. But I had read up on it since my diagnosis. I don't really do water athough I should. I consumed more water as a mixer to the poison as I don't much care for the fizzy stuff.

I drink loads of coffee now & the occasional alco free. Only downside is the caffeine too much not good for the heart. It doesn't even affect my sleep. Decaff doesn't cut it for me.

Too much of a good thing in moderation. We can't win.
