Is it PBC or Sarcoid!

Dear All

As most of you know I attended my second consultancy meeting yesterday which went exceptionally well! It started off with my consultant coming out to meet me like a long lost sisters would greet each other! Firstly she immediately noticed my new hair colour and 2 stone weight loss since March! She actually liked the new funkie me !! Lol

Well I presented her with a long list of increasing symptoms which we discussed in depth. The increase bloods highlighted there's definately a serious problem going on ! Not only did I have full blood tests two weeks on the trot but I had additional numerous repeated ones again yesterday ! ACE, AMA,ANA plus loads more which I can list later when I'm back at home!

I'm now to have a further CT Scan of my lungs and biopsy of my Liver as they now suspect that I have may have Sarcoid which is an inflammatory disease that affects multipal organs starting in the lungs and spread leaving nodules in major organs as it progresses.

There's is now a very strong possibility that the existing nodules in my lungs are possibly connected to Sarcoid after raising this point with my nursing specialist this morning ! However blood tests do have to confirm this! The CT Scan should highlight if its spread into my lymph nodes as I've already had a swelling under my left rib stopping me lying on my tummy two weeks ago plus I did have a tender swelling below my right armpits which I mentioned to my GPin August, but she didnt seem to concerned at the time. Anyway another sign is my triple vitamin D increase and increase in high calcium levels which could also be connected.

Let's pray it's not Sarcoid as it can spread to your heart and brain .... ! Last night I came across another forum relating to this not so long ago rare illness!'

My nursing specialist is going to update me as soon as she knows more on my blood tests which could take upto two weeks!

Anyway, life moves on and I'm still focused on my skydive and theres a small possibility that my nursing specialist and possibly my consultant will be making time to come and watch me dive!!! The nurse has already asked if she can come !!!!

My consultant also wants to splash photos of me all around her department at the Princess Royal Hospital as she's taken intertest in my mad crazy dive and fundraising !!!!

The fundraising is now at £975.00 plus gift aid plus £200 for the auction dinner which I think maybe bring my total to around £ 1300 so far ......

Note theres only 2 weeks to go.... is that scary or what

Hi Pocket, was looking out for how you got on - I don't ever push so am glad you posted. That was certainly a thorough appointment. You have a wonderful team on your side. I know nothing will stop you on your skydive. I have told you about my niece in our pm's and you have same tenacity as her - absolutely nothing will stop you. Good on you - the mind always wins over when it is bossy and in charge.

Luv n hugs oxoxoxoxoxox
