Need help with dealing with portal vein cancer 4 cm. Am on Opdivo..an immunotherapy infusion. Does anyone know the prognosis and what I should expect..life e

I really can’t say and I think you’ll find an Admin (Trust) Admin coming in here saying no-one on here is qualified to comment on your prognosis.

You really really need to discuss your case with your Consultant. I am very surprised you weren’t taken through this when you were given your diagnosis? You should have been!

What we can say is to describe our own experience. For me not PV cancer but a thrombosis. Only solution in my particular case was a Transplant.... this May of course not be relevant in your case.

Are you in the UK? here, liver cancer is usually staged, this is where doctors look at the size of the cancer (tumour) and whether it has spread anywhere else in the body. There are different staging systems doctors can use for liver cancer.

We would suggest to discuss what stage of cancer you have with your own doctors, they really would be best placed to specifically advise you and answer your questions about prognosis.
