Seizure after transplant

Hi all Jason aft 7 days in wAs doing amazing. They put a pip line in his arm and within an hour he had a seizure had to call crash team. He had a small hole in heart that they knew about. Could a buble been in there which went to heart went in hole of heart to brain and caused seizure ? Anyone else had that

Hi. I haven't had any experience of that and so can't comment on it but I just wanted to say that I hope that Jason is ok again now and I hope his recovery will go smoothly from now on. All the very best to you both. Alf

Like Alf I have no experience of this nor have I come across or heard of another person having this sort of problem. Hope he is doing a bit better now.

Hi all jay home after 9 days and doing well. Although the top consultants said it can’t of been the pip line they put in have now said in fact it could of been this if a buble got in as he has hole in heart could of shunted from left to right of heart through hole and gone to brain causing seizure and not the anti rejection drugs. Hopefully it was this and won’t have anymore seizures. I wanted to note it on here in case anyone else has a hole in the heart to bare this in mind. He’s doing great and feels like a new man and so grateful to the doner that has given this amazing chance of life. We will ever grateful xxxx
