5000th Liver Transplant at QE

Attended 'The 5000th Liver Transplant at QE' celebration in Birmingham and a wonderful nurse came up to me who I recognised, 'Yokai'. This wonderful lady looked after my family and myself during the time I arrived at the QE at 2pm on 5th Oct 2016 up to the time I was wheeled into theatre at 2.10am early hours on the 6th. Having Liver Cancer and the size of my tumours, there was no other option but to transplant. I owe my life to the wonderful surgical and nursing team at the QE. xx

Incredible for you and a lovely photo....... what a team. This is just one of the hundreds and thousands of reasons why we should support and be eternally grateful to all the medical staff working within the NHS

Yokai had a lot of time for me after my transplant and always had a smile on her face
