Hi All. Just a wee bit of fun. We had my daughter and her family over from Seattle for my wife's 70th birthday. We all went to the Harry Potter Exhibition in Watford. I bought my granddaughter a Hermione Granger wizards wand (£35 ouch😒), and said to her she could mend Grannies glasses with it. It didn't work, so we took it back to the counter and asked for one that worked. The assistant gave me an old-fashioned look, at which point we all howled with laughter, as did the people in the queue behind, she was not amused, but we thought it hilarious 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣.

Probably funny to you and your family but not funny to the poor shop assistant who probably hears it 100 times a day. Not really fair to call her names though..

Each to their own. It was only meant in a light hearted way, and I doubt if she reads this forum, so won't know I said she was Po faced. I expected her to laugh with us, but some people have no sense of humour.

I have been a shop assistant, a sense of humor is definitely an asset when dealing with the public! Maybe her feet hurt. 😁😁😁

Maybe the clerk was having a bad day poor thing.

Having worked in Retail - a sense of humor is not only essential, but can make the days go by faster, but not everyone can manage it.
