Yes I have this same issue. I am not a coffee drinker. Few days before I have pain in my lower ribcage area on both side. I went through many different websites. But none of them say that it gives pain. But I have this pain on both side after I consume a real coffee without any creamer or anything. If anyone knows please help us. I also don't know why it cause on both sides of the ribs. If gall bladder is gother some issue it must pain on right side only. But it's not like that. Any suggestions, would be very helpful to both of us. I can't find any valid reasons from anywhere.

Hi

Right side pain I'm sure will be your liver, mine is so large it stretches the capsule around it which causes the pain, left side could be spleen or pancreas?? Hope you are sorted soon. Please take care Lynne

Why would you be sure it’s the liver? Could be many different things. Gallbladder, IBS, rib problems. Get in to see the Dr. before you freak out reading stuff in here. Good luck! No offense Oldham but that reply would freak me out if I was searching for help.

Yea it could be a plethora of other things. Usually when pain is present the liver is the least likely culprit. If you find it noticible when you drink coffee it could be a gastro issue like GERD, but again thats just another speculation..See a doctor as again it can be so many things, some of which are easily fixed.
