Positive HCC resection post

My husband had his liver cancer surgery today and is recovering in QEHB. It feels like a miracle. I’m overwhelmed with gratitude 🙏

That's fantastic news. Hope he makes a very speedy recovery. You can relax now after all the stress that you've both gone through leading up to this. You remember to look after yourself too. Chill out and pamper yourself. Very best wishes to you both. Alf

So happy for you, best wishes to you and your husband🙂❤

Queen Elizabeth Hospital is absolutely brilliant. My husband is doing really well today and will be able to go home soon.

The surgeon explained that with HCC and PVTT a reoccurrence can be expected, but hopefully that won’t be too soon, and we can deal with it again.

The brilliant surgeon performed a right anterior sectionectomy of segments V and VIII and apparently it’s very difficult and very rare. It took just over four hours and so the trauma isn’t too bad at all.

Thank you all for your kind wishes.

Hey that's great that he is doing well and that home is in sight. You will be home for hopefully the start of better weather. What a difference a few months can suddenly make in your life. So very pleased for you both. Alf
