You’re all wonderful!

Hi all! 23 yr old female worried about De Ritis inversion of 1.2 ast/alt (though within normal range for both) here. First post but I’ve been lurking for awhile reading all of the different threads, there’s a wealth of information here. As informative as I find this group, I’m unfortunately not from the UK and am actually a soon to be medical student at a top school in America. Could someone point me to a resource similar to this group but friendly towards those of us across the pond? :) you have a wonderful community but I don’t want to ruin it by misunderstanding in the difference in healthcare systems, etc. just don’t want to bother anyone :)

There are loads of members on here from the US and indeed from around the world. Whilst us UK based folks maybe don't know the US system there are folks who do so just 'cos you are the other side of the pond doesn't mean you can't stick around here for support and you won't be bothering anyone at all. We are an 'international' community.

Thank you :) I honestly find you all extremely knowledgeable and supportive, aside from the community jak547 posted above I haven’t found that really over here. Best wishes to all of you and thank you for the community and support you provide each other!

Hi sunnycane,

We live in the US and the only site I found similar to this in the US was not as informative or supportive as this one. I've forgotten the name, and I don't get a lot of updates from it so it is hard to find in my emails.

You can go online and look up liver disease and see what the results are, perhaps a liver transplant center can offer a group they know of.

Best wishes in your hunt and in school,

Mary
