Hope you are all as well as can be. Went to drs this morning hurting so much cos of all my ailments. She thought it could be a diverticulitis flare up. Said if I go worse to phone them back which I did but couldn't get an appointment!! Went to a and e , cut a long story short, definitely a flare up, gave me 2 lots of antibiotics, one of which makes me sick. She said try it but take omeprazole before it, well that worked 😁. If I'm no better in 48 hours I've got to go back to a and e 😟. Keeping my fingers crossed!! Lots of love and hugs Lynne xxxx
I'm also so sorry. What you go through is unreal yet you still have words of encouragement for others. Hive five to you and let peace fall on your shoulders xx
Thank you so much. I know there's always someone worse off than me.
How are you feeling? Love and hugs Lynne xxxx
Hey Lynne I feel for you.
I had to go A snd E just before Christmas because of these awful pains and blood coming out of where it shouldn’t. Had colonoscopy a month later - I suppose you did? Same result - diverticulosis. Supposed to affect 1 in 3 older people but that doesn’t help when diverti has got it in for you.
Antibiotics worked for me but took the whole week’s worth!👎🏻 Or 👍 (half empty or half full 😁)
Hope the pain goes soon!

Hi
How are you feeling?
Thank
you. Had colonoscopy in December but the prep hadn't worked properly so I've got have another one, I see my consultant at end of February, he wants to discuss it with me. Take care Lynne

Oh no not the prep again, although it wasn’t the taste - I took advice from someone here (forget who ☹️) who said counter the taste with squash. I did and it did. It was just the forcing it down I found a pain (but not as bad as the groin pain 😁). I got told the result there and then - I must have been a lucky man yet again 😁.
Hope second one goes better for you!
Good luck.

Thank you. I put orange with mine. They told me what they could see but obviously it wasn't clear enough. Take care Lynne
Sorry to hear about the flare up! My Mom used to have diverticulitis flare ups.
Wishing you the best that the antibiotics work and quickly.

I have 3 friends who suffer with diverticulitis. They get flare ups but they all know now their individual triggers. One of my friends does a post mortem on her food when we dine out. Skin has to be removed from sausages, nothing with a firm outer shell, peas sweetcorn etc. Hope your pain subsides with the anti biotics, Best wishes Hazelx
Yes, so do I, don't know what it was, I've looked back as to what I've had and can't identify it. Take care Lynne
I feel for you Lynne, diverticulitis is not nice ☹️ I used to get really bad attack’s years ago and ended up in hospital and then off work for two weeks.
The funny thing was I always went back to work looking fantastic after getting rid of all what I was carrying inside.
Nowadays I make sure that I don’t too bunged up before taking something. Therefore any attacks aren’t as painful. I’ve also found that a cup of hot sweet tea ( I don’t take sugar normally) and a hot water bottle is great company when sat on the loo 😉
I hope you feel better soon
