Good news for liver transplants

Bringing new hope for those waiting for a liver transplant.

Described as a 'game-changer' in liver transplantation, after a successful trial period the use of a machine that extends the time to assess and preserve donated livers has been approved by the National Institute for Care and Excellence (NICE)

The hospital's have got to raise the money to buy them Leeds are already doing 😁 and they definitely will be a game changer

I was lucky enough to be one of the people transplanted within the first few months of use of the perfusion machine at Addenbrookes. Alf

Fantastic news. I was part of the trial. I had my transplant on the 8 March 2016 at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham . Had my follow up scan and blood tests last week and my liver function etc are spot on. Feeling brilliant and back to full activities
