Small Gallbladder

I have had ultrasound n read the report it's saying I have a small gallbladder of 10.3ccs and minimum gallbladder size it says is 20.0 ccs so whats the implication of having small one n has anyone got small gallbladder

People that have their gallbladders removed manage okay by avoiding fatty foods so the safest thing to do in your case would be to steer clear of fatty foods so the load on your gallbladder is minimised. Apparently gallbladders 'contract' in size after releasing bile (check out the web link below) so perhaps yours was measured while it was 'contracted'. Another possibility is that it shrunk due to scarring from inflammation however if this was the case you would most likely had accompanying symptoms. I wouldn't be too concerned about it however it might be worth seeing a specialist who may order a more detailed scan like an MRI to try & determine why it's small & give you advice about managing it.

Thankyou very much, I have loads of imflamation in my body as got gastritis myelitis autoimmune hepititis n fatty liver so I would say there's awful lot of imflamation but for last 3 days I've drastically changed diet n are taking lot of exercise need to do this and get myself in better condition. I have awful breathlessness non drinker non smoker have reflux I'm sure this is all tied in, on steriods omperazole . I see my heptologist In May so quite a long time to wait but have blood tests very regularly
