I have been experiencing back pain for weeks feeling sick tired all time and not feeling hungry. I have a non fatty liver but have been drinking more than I should due to stress my GGT is 600. Worried something is really wrong has anyone else experienced this? Or have a GGT this high?

Please don't drink..... it DOESNOT relieve stress, it creates problems, it doesn't solve them.

It causes major illnesses, it has the power to get you addicted which can be a huge battle to fight.... shall i go on ........?

I know you are right I am finding now I feel it more and more I have stopped but am finding it really hard. Thankfully i have got a really supportive partner and he is helping me through it. I am waiting for blood tests but the consultant I see didn't put form in with letter for my blood which I am not happy about so having to wait isn't helping as worry more

Thank you for messaging me x

It will be hard sweetheart but It really WILL be worth it and the support of your partner is wonderful. Keep at it, think positive, be strong, you CAN beat this

Xx

High GGT can be caused by alot of things as it isnt found only in the liver. But usually GGT that high in liver disease tends to be found more in choleostatic types. But of course always check on with the doctor on that one. Get some scans done. But in the mean time I really suggest to stay off the alcohol as alcohol can screw things up more in any liver disease even if it isnt caused by alcohol.l and especially be careful as if your using to cope with stress it's easy to become.quite dependent on it. Trust me on that one . Keep us updated let us know how you get on 😊
